The S.R.M.A.C. was formed at a meeting held at the Susan River Homestead located between the city of Hervey Bay and Maryborough
on the Hervey Bay/Maryborough Road. The S.R.M.A.C. is a non profit organisation and became incorporated late in 2002,
and puts all monies raised back into facilites for it's members.
The Susan River Recreation Ranch kindly gave permission for the S.R.M.A.C. to operate from vacant land at the rear
of the Homestead, where a 130 metre long grass airstrip was prepared.
Through fundraising and donations from Bunnings and Toy Kingdom of Hervey Bay, a garden shed and shade-cloth structure
was erected for the comfort and use of members. A portable toilet is located at the site allowing family members to comfortably
visit the field.
